New Cut of BALANCE Released

With a new feature in the very early stages of development, I decided to cut sort of a teaser version of our short film BALANCE. It sort of makes it a whole new movie, which isn't a bad thing, because perhaps people will want to see what led up to the events seen in this new version.

Also, don't forget to head over the Jaman and download AN UZI AT THE ALAMO. Or, you can still buy the DVD from FilmBaby.com.

Enjoy this teaser version of BALANCE.

Vuze

As we develop our next feature for production (details forthcoming), things have been pretty stale on the Uzi front. Still, I felt that I should at least post SOMETHING.

So, here's my something: In addition to being able to download Uzi on Jaman.com, you can also get it on Vuze.com. Oh yeah, plus NetFlix is also offering the film either in download or DVD rental.

Lastly, while I'm on the topic of NetFlix, some dude listed Uzi as one of the worst films he has ever seen. What's that they say about all press being good press? I'm not sure I'm buying it.

Cinequest Presents...

Yeah, yeah, yeah, party people. The Cinequest Presents favorite, "An Uzi at the Alamo," has climbed back up to Number 11 of All-Time downloads in the North American Films section on Jaman.com. Not bad, especially when you consider hat the Number 9 film is the original "Sling Blade" made by Billy Bob Thornton.

If you haven't checked out Uzi on Jaman (or the Jaman site altogether), you really should. With HD quality downloads, there really isn't any better way to watch indie films. Plus, you get three free rentals when you sign-up. Best of all, they don't screw you and ask you for a credit card number to get those free rentals.

Lastly, Uzi has been getting kind of beaten to shit on the NetFlix reviews page. One star, two stars, and even some guy who said that he turned it off after a half an hour. So, if you happen to be reading this and, perhaps more importantly, a fan of the film, please do me a favor and write something positive on the site!

And lastly, I leave you with the Uzi trailer from Jaman. It's the same trailer as its always been, I just felt like reposting in.

Still Going Strong on Jaman

As I mentioned in my last post (remember my last post?) a while ago, Uzi continues to perform very well on the Jaman download site. It remains one of the most talked about, downloaded, and favorited films in the North American section.

And, I recently came across an intereview with the Jaman CEO, in which he states that Uzi is one of his favorite films on the site!! Needless to say, I was pretty damn honored. You can check out that article HERE. And, if you'd like to watch Uzi on Jaman, you can click HERE.

Oh yeah, before I forget -- my short film, BALANCE, was accepted into the Rhode Island International Film Festival. It will screen on Saturday, August 11th at 2pm. If you're around, please drop by and check out the film!

Long Overdue Update

Right...so it's been about two months since I posted last. Why? Well, because there hasn't been much to report on as far as Uzi goes. Actually, that's not completely true. For one, Uzi continues to run strong on the Jaman website, where it is one of the most talked about, favorited, and downloaded films in the North American section. Also, it's currenetly being aired on the GFN network (actually, I think the N stands for Network, so what I wrote is probably a bit redundant). I can't say with any degree of certainty that I know what GFN is, but if they're carrying my film, I assume that they're awesome.

Aside from Uzi stuff, my other film, Balance, continues to do well in the festival circuit. It just one first place at a festival held at the Courthouse Center for the Arts. This comes off the heels of an Honorable Mention nod for Best Director at the Artists' Exchange Film Festival. On top of all this, the film was just acquired for distribution by Big Film Shorts. So, be on the lookout for both Uzi and Balance, because you never know where either may pop up.

Taking the Jaman World by Storm

It's been almost two months since anything was last posted on this blog, so I thought now would be a good time to again mention the fact that Uzi is performing very well on Jaman.com

Delivering HD quality films to home computers, Jaman is at the forefront of the new distribution model for indie films. And if anyone fom Jaman is reading and thinks that would make for a nice quote, go for it.

There's really not much more to mention at the moment. Still, please do visit the Jaman site and click on the film. You can find it in the North American Films section.

Watch it! Love it! Rate it!!!

We Jaman

I really don't have all that much to add since my last post. Since then, Uzi screened at the Drafthouse Cinema, as well as the Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham.

Considering how long the film has now been around, it's always fun to hear people talk about it after seeing it for the first time. It sort of breathes new life into it, which of course is appreciated.

Aside from these screenings, Uzi is also available as part of the Cinequest Film Festival collection on Jaman.com. Of the 100-plus films that Cinequest has contributed to the Jaman site, the site adminstrator recently posted that Uzi is his new favorite. Well, a big thank you for that, brother man.

I'm trying to think of something to sign off with -- you know, something with a little punch -- but I can't seem to think of anything. So, I'll instead pimp out my new short film, BALANCE.

Catch it at the 1st Annual Rough Cutz Film Festival in Boston on Sunday, February 25th at 5:30pm.
